According to Help, system checkpoints are to be created
automatically if the computer is off for 24 hrs or more
and is thenn turned on., or after 24 hrs of calendar
time, or 24 hrs of computer time.
On my system (Windows XP Home Edition) system check
points are not being automatically created if the
computer is off for 24 hrs and then turned on. Why not,
and what do I do to get it to do so? Also what is 24 hrs
of calendar time refer to?

After you've made sure System Restore is properly turned on and enough disk
space is alloted, the computer has to be idle for a restore point to be
generated.
