EVERYTIME I boot my PC, I get the message "One of the
files containing the system's registry had to be
recovered by use of a log or alternate copy. The
recovery was successful." I get this twice when I boot
and once when I log in to my account. When I look in
c:\system volume information\restore\snapshot\ I see that
one of the _REGISTRY_USER_USRCLASS.... files is dated
3/5/03 while the others are from a given date. This is
the case from 3/6/03 until today however I am not sure
when I started getting the message. I don't think it has
been that long.
I did look back and I do not see that I installed any
software on 3/5/03 or even a day or two before on either
side.
Anybody have any idea how I can determine what is
causeing this and how to fix it permanently? I have used
Adware from Lavasoft to get rid of stuff but that didn't
fix this problem.
