Passport submittal is bouncing me out of the browser

Greetings,

I am using Windows XP Home Addition with an Athlon XP
1800+ 40gb 256mb system with a bevy of applications
installed including the Beta 2 version of Office 2003.

I started noticing a passport related problem when I
attempted to register with Microsoft's career page
(required MS Passport). My passport has been in existence
for a couple of years but when I sumbit the passport I
an 'bounced' out of the web page and browser and 'land'
on the desktop. I experienced the same problem when
attempting to sign up for a Real One feature (I already
had an account w/ Real utilizing my hotmail email
account).

I created another passport account to test the procedure
of the MS career page sign up and experienced the same
problem. This morning I installed the MS update #811493,
restarted the system, navigated to the MS career site and
experienced the same problem.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
