Error during user backup

During the user backup option of the recovery cd, I got
error message #1555 with no explanation. Now I have a
corrupt file problem. I'm still running but I can't
figure out what that error means. I'm thinking of copying
off some stuff that I want to keep and restoring the whole
thing back to factory settings. It's been so sluggish
anyway. Does anybody know what that error is?
