Hard Drive Fragmentation

For some reason, my HD gets fragmented fairly quickly. Last time a booted
the system it was 9% fragmented. I defragged the drive and went to Portland
on business. I came home, booted the system and it is now 16% fragmented.
This is the first time I used the system since I defragged.

I use Norton Systemworks Speedisk to defrag and monitor.

Something is strange, please help if anyone has heard of this problem.
