My Xp Professional has automatically updated and installed
the security patches Q815021 & 811493 and now my computer
freezes about 4 or 5 minutes into any session making it
impossible to use properly. Has anyone had this happen to
them and how can it be fixed?

James;
Go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel and uninstall 811493 to see
if that resolves the issue, then uninstall the other patch if
necessary.
Then try the updates again.
811493 was replaced yesterday for similar issues.

Many thanks, decided earlier to restore my system to a
date prior to these updates and my computer no longer
crashes.
