There are different views in Windows Explorer and its clones. By
"view" I mean Thumbnails, Tiles, Icons, List, and Details. Currently,
the programs open in either Icons or Thumbnails views. How would I
make the programs open in the Details view?

Thank you,

Barry Karas

P.S. I use WinXP Pro SP2

Click the 'view' menu item. Look at the choices there.

Hello it's not always a good idea to use detailed view particularly if you
have a PC thats moderately slow. This is because Windows needs to read the
file headers of every file on the system in order to get the information it
displays- this can make using Explorer sluggish and the more files you have
the slower it will get. In my experience it is better to use Icon view with
system scope and just toggle to detail mode when necessary.
