Thanks Michael. I found adware and ran it a few minutes
ago. It found over 60 of those data mining programs!
Had no idea. I do remember that I started seeing that
error message shortly after Orbitz hijacked my home page
and replaced its own instead! Thanks for the advice and
I hope that clears it up!
