I can send and receive E-Mails and attachements through
Outlook Express but I am unable to delete these E-mails
from my InBox after I have read them.
Neither can I move these read E-mails.
Any suggestions please.

Your Inbox is corrupted. Try moving any messages you want to save to another
folder, and then close Outlook Express. Delete the file called Inbox.dbx.
Re-start Outlook Express. The Inbox file will be re-built.
BTW it's not a good idea to keep important messages in the default folders
of OE. MMove them to folders you have created, and, of course, take regular
backups.
You might also note that you will probably get a faster and more expert
answer if you post OE queries to an
Outlook Express news group.
Try posting in one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlooke xpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlook express for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlooke xpress for OE 6.x
microsoft.public.internet.outlookexpress.mac for OE for Macintosh
If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups).
A good website for information on OE is:

It could be that the option to "Compact messages in background" in =
Tools, Options, Maintenance has been selected. Deselect as it will =
corrupt folders.
Is your anti-virus programme set up to automatically scan incoming and =
outgoing mail? This can also cause folder corruption.
Inability to delete messages is more often than not caused by a =
corrupted Deleted Items folder. Another possibility is a corrupted =
inbox.
Using Windows XP you need to enable show hidden files. Start, Control =
Panel, Folder Options, View, Advanced Settings. Next enter Windows =
Explorer and select Search, All files and folders, enter "Deleted =
ite*.dbx" without the quotes, select Local hard drive as source to be =
searched and click on Search. Delete the file. A new folder will be =
automatically generated when you restart Outlook Express.=20
Finally re-enter Outlook Express place the cursor on Outlook Express in =
the Folder List and run File, Folder, Compact All whilst Offline.=20
~~~~~~
Hope this helps.
