Active X error messages?

Hi...
Hope someone can help.
I just noticed that I am starting to receive this message:
"Your current setting prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a
result, the page may not display correctly."

Now, I have sought a solution and was told to go into Internet options and
change the security settings to allow running and scripting of Active X
controls, but still no change after doing so.
Can someone direct me to a victorious solution?

Did you change the setting in the correct Zone? In other words, this
setting exists in the "Internet", "Local Intranet" and "Trusted Sites"
zones.

Well i could, but i would recomend agenst it, active X is what causes
most harm to windows thoguht maluse of it, so the fackt that you are
getting thows messages is a good thing, it measn it’s stoping
potentialy malituios software on to your PC. But if you want me to i
can tell you... but as i said, i would strongly recomend that you
DON’T!!

Unfortunately, you can't download some of the Windows Updates without ActiveX
running, therefore, you need to have it at times. Telling someone who asks
for help that you could but you won't is useless. The person wants to know
how to turn them on, as do I, adn you would have done as well to have not
bothered saying anything.
