My taskbar is stuck!

OK Brief Rundown. My taskbar is stuck at appox. 2cm high.
THe double ended arrow does come up when I hold it over
the edge, but I can only make the taskbar higher, not
smaller. Ideally, i'd like it to be 1cm high again.
Another issue is that I noticed today that all of a
sudden I have the day, date and time on my tasker in the
lower right corner. Previously I have only had the time
which is how I like it. How can I get rid of the day and
date, and how can I make my taskbar go back to 1cm. My
taskbar is not locker by the way. Thanks for your help!

Right click task bar--remove check from 'lock taskbar' then you'll be able
to resize.

Do you have a toolbar on your taskbar? If yes, remove it. Resize the
taskbar. Then try adding it back. If that pops the taskbar back up to
two lines, resize the toolbar.

Note: I run with a double line taskbar on purpose: one line for Quick
Launch and one line for program buttons. If I want to resize the taskbar
to one line, I have to unlock the taskbar and grab the QL toolbar handle
that is on the second line separate from the line that holds the QL
icons. It takes some fooling around to get this toolbar back to one line
but it will cooperate eventually.
