How to? And is it safe to do so?
Boot drive is NTFS and is using compression. Can I undo
or "uncompress" the drive without crashing or losing any
data?

If you have sufficient "free disk space" you can uncompress anything, and
usually will have no problems. Defrag after you do this, as your hard disk
will be a mess.
As David has said, it is wise to backup first, just in case (power failure
during operation (-: ).
