Do you mean that your IPS has set up a program like
Outlook Express to recieve mail from it's servers?

No........
Essentially, if you are phoning me, I want the call to come direct to me,
not via some link. I want to by pass that link.
In other words I want email delivered from your pc to my pc by passing the
ISP mail forwarding system.
Any suggestions? :)
Thanx.

If you want to use the Internet, you could create a VPN, if
you are willing to spend the time and money. Or if you want
to make long distance telephone calls, and your pen-pals are
willing, you could dial direct and use BBS software to send
and receive messages.
If you are interested in security, why not get a public key
PGP and encrypt your email.
The Internet is nothing but thousands of interconnected
servers, without VPN, you have zero control over which
servers your email passes through (and may be stored on or
intercepted.).

That would require VPN installed on the machine on the other machine? to
access my PC?

Yes, It is like having the exclusive use of a private wire
from machine to machine and you must pay for it.
Do a Google search for VPN.

The only way to do what you want. Is to be directly connected to the
machine sending you the e-mail..
Even on a phone. you go from your phone to the distribution box ( B
Box) to the local co-office tot he regional CO-office thru many
switches to the receivers Regional Co-office to thief local Co-Office
to thief neighborhood B box to their phone. There basically is no
"Direct connection".

Yes. Register your own domain, have your ISP redirect that domain to your
PC, set up your own SMTP server (there are freeware ones available) on your
PC and have people send to it.
