Ken,

Hello. Read your post about autostreamer and your success with it after a
few initial problems.

Wonder if you can spare me a few minutes.
I too have used autostreamer to slip stream an OEM XP pro sp1 CD with the a
downloaded XP sp2 file. Run autostreamer to create the integrated file. The
outcome was a file with an .iso extension. All looks hunky-dorry! However,
when I come to copy/burn the iso file onto a CD all I get is the .iso file
itself. When I come to click on it from the newly copied CD it just opens up
in Nero (the tool I used to copy the file). Now, I have requested help on the
fhis forum below but everything I have tried , as suggested, doesn't help me.
Even when I burn an image that gives me a .nrg file and then when copied to
the CD it again simply opens in Nero when clicked.

Does the autostreamer piece take ALL the files off the XP pro sp1 CD or does
one have to separately take the .img file off separately inorder to create a
bootable CD image? Or is it done automatically by autostreamer.

I am at my wits end. Any help would e very much appreciated.

I used Nero burning ROM 5.5 (a freebie I must admit) to copy the image onto
the CD.

I think my prob lies in the creation of the integrated file.

Many thanks.

Monsi

You seem to be trying to copy the ISO file to CD instead of burning a
CD "FROM" the ISO Image. You will need to use the option to burn an
Image on the CD. For example, in Nero Burning ROM 6.x, the "Recorder
-> Burn CD Image" is the one in question. Also, the following options
may or may not need to be adjust to:
Type of Image Data Mode 1
Block size (Bytes) 2048
Image header (Bytes) 0
Image trailer (Bytes) 0
Make sure 'Write', 'Finalize CD', and 'Disc-At-Once' are checked, then
choose Write

Hope this helps,
Ed
