I installed the above but see now that some functions are not enabled,yet
when I hit "enable" it says only Supervisor can do it.

I tried to uninstall all and then re-install, but again, only Supervisor can
do it.

I cannot recall during installation that it ever asked me for Supervisor or
Password. I am the sole user and at a loss how to proceed.

This is the purchsed Professional Edition of Norton Internet Security 2003/

Karl;
Install it while logged as an Administrator.

Otherwise contact Symantec:

How can I be Administrator except through Safe Mode?

Karl;
Any profile that is an Administrator.
Go to User Accounts in Control Panel and check who are "Limited Users"
and who are "Computer Administrator"
