Suggestion 1:
============
1. Insert the Windows XP installation CD to the CD-ROM.
2. Click Start->Run.
3. Type "%windir%\inf" (without the quotation marks) and
press Enter.
4. In the inf folder, locate to the sr.inf file.
5. Right-click the file and choose Install.
6. After the installation finishes, restart the computer
and try to launch System Restore and see if the problem
still exists.
Suggestion 2: Extract srrstr.dll from the XP CD:
====================================
1. Insert the Windows XP CD into the CD-ROM.
Note: If there is an autorun screen appears, close it.
2. Click Start, click Run, copy the following command
into the Open-box and then click OK.
expand -r d:\i386\srrstr.dl_ c:\windows\system32
