can i use the xp full version on a system that already has
windows 98 se? how will it be different from the upgrade ?
what are all the differences between the full and update?

There are NO differences at all other than the price, and that the upgrade
CD requires you to have proof of a previous Windows version that qualifies
you for an upgrade.

Yes. However you can *not* use an OEM version (which many people
confuse with the Full version) to do an upgrade.

There won't be any difference at all.

There is only a single difference. If you use the Upgrade version
to do a clean installation, you have to insert the CD of a
previous qualifying version, as proof of ownership, when prompted
to do so. The Full version doesn't require this.
