View Full Version : XP eating up HDD space

Without installing any new progs, it is alarming that
windows seems to be consuming more and more space on my
C: drive. It seems to take another 100mb almost each day -
so my C: free space was 11.1gb, 11gb,10.9gb etc etc
But what I can't work out is what uses all this space -
searching all files & folders for files created or
modified over 1mb does not give any clues...
I'm used to 98 & ME always using the same space - and if
windows did use more, it was always due to temp file or
update file which you could easily go and delete.
Any ideas?

Start, Control Panel, Folder Options, View, Advanced Settings and check =
Show Hidden Files and Folders.

Also do you use Norton Utilities? Norton Protected Storage?
