My 30 GB partition was getting full (2.6 GB left) so I
deleted a video file of 14.8 GB. Windows (and Diskeeper)
still shows the disk has 27GB used, while some other
utilities (DiskPie) show it half full.
I've run chkdsk, disk cleanup, etc...no luck.
Any thoughts?

Just a dumb suggestion but have you done an empty recycle bin? Also, if
another program has that file opened, it will keep the space used until the
program closes it (at least it was like that in UNIX).

sounds like system restores is takin up the space. go to
system restore, and delete all but the most recnt restore
point. I know it's a bit vague, if you want more e-mail
me and remove the REMOVEME parts
