shutdown after service pack installation

HI

I got this problem too. my pc doesnt shutdown after
trying to install the the service pack. service is not
installed and now pc is not shutting down at all. after
click on shutdown or restart nothing happens it remains
same. do anyone know whats this problem is and how i can
solve it withouth reinstalling xp professional. plz help
me out
