I need to replace my boot drive. It is unstaible and
making noises that indicate it is not working. I don't
see how to restore the system to the new drive so it will
boot. The old drive works as long as it is cool
(recently turned on). Where can I find detailed
instructions for defining the boot location with Win XP
Pro?

Thanks for any help.

I backed up the old drive to a second drive on the
computer. After installing the new drive I tried
restoring the old data to the new location.
I have the new drive recognized by the bios.
when the it boots from the old drive it sees the new
drive. when It boots from the CD without the old drive
in it dose not recogniz the new drive as being present.
