hi, i'm having problems with the pasting function. it doens't matter if i do
ctrl c or ctrl x, but whenver i copy/cut a file (text copies and pastes fine,
just files have problems) and try to paste it into another folder using ctrl
v, it
causes windows exporer to stop responding. i then have to open up taskmanager
to end the task to get explorer working again. however, drag and drop seems
to work just fine. also, i only have one hard drive, so i'm just moving
files between folders.

and another problem i'm having is from time to time, whenever i right click
somewhere in explorer to bring up the menu (not on an icon), it freezes. it
also freezes when i click on "make a new folder" under file and folder tasks.

can someone please tell me what could be causing this and a possible
solution? thanks.

I am having the same problem....Have not figured it out to this date. I
thought that it might be a file cooruption so I reinstalled windows xp, but
that did not stop it. I hope someone could help with this one.
