I'm using Windows XP Home.
I've created a slide show from photographs using Windows Moviemaker. I wish
to distribute this to fammily members, but not everybody has a PC. Can this
file be converted to MP2/3 to create a DVD playable on a normal DVD player or
will the player recognise the File.

Yes, you can create a DVD for a standalone player... but not with Windows
Movie Maker. You will save your MovieMaker file as DV-AVI and then use
third party DVD burning software to create and burn the DVD. Of course,
along with the third party burning application, you will also need a DVD
burner.

You need to use third party software such as nero/roxio etc. You could make
a vcd or svcd, which most dvd players will recognise, or if you have a dvd
writer, you could use the same apps for making a dvd.

I've created a home movies show to Windows Moviemaker. I wish to?share this
to family and friends members, but not everybody has a PC. Can this file be
converted to MP2/3 to create a DVD playable on a normal DVD player or will
the player recognise the File.
Is there anyway you can tell me step by step how can I convert my files to
jpeg or other mp3 files.
Thanks

You need third party software to make either a dvd or svcd which will play
on stand alone dvd players. It depends on which you have to how to do it,
one should have come with your burner, check the help file.
