Lately I have been getting some strange behavior from my
cd-rom drive. I try to run a game that I have had
installed before and had no problems with and now I get
the error 'CD-ROM drive error. Please verify that your
Diablo II disc is in your CD-ROM drive. Then click 'retry'
This is very frustrating and it has happened with my
Warcraft III game as well. (the games are originals by
the way and not scratched up). I have had no problem
installing games (even the ones mentioned) with the cd-
rom so it seems to be mechanically sound. Also, when I
get this error the first time I put the game in my burner
to run it and get the same error message. I then click on
retry repeatedly but get the same message. Does anyone
out there know what might be causing this problem? Your
advice would be greatly appreciated!
