I am scanning using WIA with Adobe Acrobat 6 under Windows XP for a long time
without problems. But now: I have a new laptop (Sony Vaio T2) and a new HP
Color Laserjet 2840 all-in-one. In this configuration, I can not scan anymore
out of Acrobat 6 using the WIA interface. Shortly before completing the first
page, the scanner stops and on the laptop the error message "Unknown system
error when initiating StartScan" (or something like that; translated from
german) appears. I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything but it does
not help. TWAIN works fine but I do not want to use it (too large files). Can
somebody help, please? I really need that functionality!
