I've recently upgraded a PC to Windows XP and now the Spell Checking
Microsoft Word 97 is unavailable. I'm sure that I selected it in the install
options. Is this a compatibility problem win Office 97 and XP. I do have
Office 2000 but I need to keep using 97 as I think I'm right in saying that
there are more problems with opening Word 2000 files in Word 97.

Any suggestions?

Uninstal the Spell Checker by re-running Word's Setup. Then reinstall
it.

cheers for the advice. I followed it and worked fine for the administrator
account but user accounts still have the original problem. I've made sure
that all users have access to the csapi3t1.dll file. What went wrong?

thanks
