I have some movie files on my computer and everytime I try to play them
either windows explorer crashes without opening my player or with the player
opened the movie plays for a while then Windows Media Player crashes. Does
anyone know how to correct this error? Is it a missing plugin? Please help.

Movies and games use alot of youre computers hardware and put it to a test.
Make sure youre display adapter is up to date and has the latest
drivers/software.
Is youre ram up to par,if not buy more, finally, chk event viewer for warnings/
errors, also to chk all,go to run, type:DXDIAG Run the direct x diagnostic
utilitys.

Well my laptop is a fairly new computer: Dell Inspiron 6000 2.34 ghz
processor 512 mb ram. I installed a divx codec and it worked to my surprise.
Thanks for your help!
