I have a paid subscription to Hotmail Plus so I view email thru Outlook
2002. I have a wired Ethernet connection to share files with another PC and
share a dial up connection with 56k modem thru local ISP.
When I setup Outlook to retrieve my POP 3 email I had to manually change the
connection from LAN to dialup. I just noticed that Outlook has set my
Hotmail account to connect thru LAN instead of dialup. I have been having
some trouble with constant dialing the internet lately and I am wondering if
I need to change the connection in Outlook for my hotmail account from LAN
to dialup or is this suppose to be setup this way? It seems that when I use
Outlook to view newsgroups it is connecting thru LAN as well. I was not
sure if this was because I was using ICS to share the internet connection.
I also have other users on each PC, but only my account has paid
