It seems I've seen this problem discussed but now I am not finding a solution
to my issue. My machine was running XP Pro SP2 until some video editing
software's drivers caused issues that were best addressed by reinstalling XP.
I did that using a CD supplied with the computer that apparently did not
include SP2 -- I received update messages requesting I update the OS via
automatic updates. I completed the update and when the machine rebooted, it
hung before (or during) POST -- I get no beeps, and no video.

I have tried rebooting using an XP CD, without success.

Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted.

Thanks,
-Sean-

Thanks for your effort, William. Unfortunately, the machine won't boot, so
using RecoveryConsole is not an option.

Sorry about that, should have read your OP a little better.

Since this is a hardware issue not an XP issue, you should contact you
computer or motherboard manufacturer for support.
