Check for "ghost" drivers, which are not always
uninstalled when adding new ones. I know, I know "cleared
the hard drive" yet it's possible to have video card .inf
files in C:Windows/Inf/Other(hidden)which are trying to
run the old drivers. Try the 98 removal method outlined
here
http://home.earthlink.net/~steventc/tech101/removeghostdri
vers.htm
then install the new drivers
