I can't use Windows Update in XP to download the Updates

Hi.

I have WinXP Professional edition and whenever I click on
Windows update to download the latest updates, it opens
the website and I click on "scan" and it just does
something and it stays at "Zero Percent" and can't
continue to update. I have tried resetting the internet
explore 6 SP1-128 bit encryption and still can't do a
thing.

Any ideas folks.
