After recently being told that the NTFS file system
improves disk performance, I went ahead and coverted to
it from FAT32. However, I notice that the loading of all
application, and all processes that require opening large
files run EXTREMELY slow. For example, I am burning some
company video cds for distribution. Creating that image
takes 1 hour alone. Also when installing video game
demos, and anything else that includes large files,
performance is slow. Is this a common issue? Can you tell
me more about NTFS, and possibly ways to work around this
issue without having to format? If you can help me with
this, and maybe provide more info, it would be much
appreciated. Thank you for your help in advance.
