before logging into windows there is the preview screen that will tell you
how many unread messages you have and how many programmes are running etc.
recently a friend signed into messenger using his e-mail address and it now
shows the number of his unread messages instead of mine.
nothing i do seems to revert it back to showing my details

Greetings,
To remove this, click Start, then click Run and enter "regedit.exe" and click OK. Then
navigate (it's like Windows Explorer) to My
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Wind ows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail\yourmsnname@hotmail. com
Where is the passport. Double-click the MessageCount and enter 0 as
the value (this will set back to none). Then click OK, close the registry editor, and log out
to see the change.
