i want to copy all files in c drive to other drive in
dos.what command is appropriate to use.i used copy *.*
but its not copying files in directory and subdirectories.

Why ask a question with the answer in the subject line. Did you type it =
in help. Or xcopy /?

Did you try the 'xcopy' command?

XCOPY will do the job, sort of, and with some risk.

See http://onlinehelp.bc.ca/tips#newdisk for an explanation and
illustration of the problems that can and do occur when using XCOPY
for this type of task.

Your best bet is to use a Disk Copying program such as Norton Ghost
(Symantec) or DriveCopy (PowerQuest).

Another option, although it is quite slow, is to use the free XXCOPY
utility from www.xxcopy.com
