Many of my applications were not working one day
including the System Recovery, Application Recovery,
Norton, etc., So I scanned my computer using the online
scanner at the Homecall website and it found over 300 "PE
JEEFO.A" viruses in the "C:\System Volume Information"
and the "C:\Windows" folders. So I did what the site told
me and it got rid of all the viruses. So now I was
wondering if their was anyway I could get my Applications
back or anyway I could get the "System Recovery" to work
again? Also ever scence that all happened the "Windows
Installer" pops up after every single little thing I do
and I dont know how to stop it, so I would appreceat the
help. Thanx.

BTW: I have an HP computer w/ WinXP Home Edition and I
dont have the WINXP disk because HP didn't supply it for
some reason.

If you do not have HP Recovery CDs, you are entitled to them and you should
request them from HP for free.

It sounds like the virus has impacted a great deal of files.
The only safest way out is to re-install.

HP should've sent you CDs along with the computer.
The CDs contain the right product key.
