View Full Version : Tasks Stopping Mysteriously

I am having a problem with back-ups that I have setup in
my Task Manager to execute on a constant basis. I am not
the only with this problem that I have talked too. The
tasks excute and run the DOS back-up commands flawlessly
for about 8 weeks (+/-) and then stop responding.

I am accessing numerous servers, including the one I am
wired to. I have set up a staggered time for each task
to run, so there would be no conflict with mulitple
tasks. The tasks work again once I either delete and re-
do them or re-set my passwords.

Could this be a user setting or other XP feature?

Does anyone have any tips on this?

Can you tell the error message you see for the failed tasks ?
You can also get more information by looking at the logfile.
From Control Panel->Scheduled Tasks-> Click on advanced and view log.
For all your failed tasks, can you post the error message ???
