I recently encountered this message after insalling a new
program in my computer. I'm using Win XP home edition,on
a gateway essential 667mhz PIII,with 383meg RAM,15G hard
drive, 56K data/fax/voice modem SF-1156IV. The message
reads (error 1931 The windows installer service cannot
update the file C:\windows\System32\vbscript.dll because
the file is protected by windows. You may need to update
your operating system for this program to work
correctly. Can anyone out there tell me what kind of an
update I need to use to make this program work. It's a
business faxing program that sends faxes and creates fax
files. The program won't let me create fax files, as per
the manufacturers instructions it is supposed to work
with MS Word in converting word docments into fax files.
Please e-mail me with the answer if you do know of any.
Thanx, Ken
