How do you uninstall XP home when it was a full install -
(not upgrade from ME or 98") and reinstall. Does the CD
drive to need reformatting and is there a problem with
product registration number at reinstall?

If you are doing a clean re-install, which will wipe out irrevocably all
your personal files, then you just have to put in the XP setup disks, and
then follow the directions. The setup will automatically format the drives,
which will obviate any need to uninstall anything.
If you are doing a repair install, which will leave your personal files
intact, then you still don't have to uninstall XP Home. In fact, I guess
you can't uninstall it even if you wanted to.

Just use your WinXPCD to format the drive and start over. No you don't
have to worry about registration except if you
are doing this to a different computer.
