I had set up a VPN a while ago that worked well to allow me to connect to a
remote system. I had set up a desktop icon to invoke the connection.
Recently, the icon stopped working - by that I mean it did nothing at all
when selected. I tried to add a new VPN connection through the 'create a
new connection' task. That started the New Connection Wizard successfully.
I pressed 'next' to get to the 'network connection type' page, selected the
second option (connect to the network at my workplace), and pressed 'next'.
That's as far as I got - nothing happened. I tried the other options, but
with the same result.
I am running Windows XP Pro, with all the latest critical updates installed.
Everything else works fine, but the connection wizard has stopped working.
