My windows xp locks up and I cannot figure out why.
Happens just about anytime, running an application,
surfing the web, immediately after booting up and there
seems to be no clear pattern. My machine has been virus
scanned, I've replaced the fan on my CPU, added
additional RAM, defragged and scan disked, reformatted my
hard drive, reinsalled a clean copy of windows,
uninstalled all peripherals and network/dial-up
connections, uninstalled all unnecessary software and my
PC technician has checked it twice with no hardware
issues found. Can anybody tell me why my machine locks
up? When I say lock up it means that everything on the
screen freezes, my keyboard and mouse are diabled, and
all I can do it reboot my machine. My machine has a
900mhz processor with 512 RAM, and I run a DSL broadband
connection.
Thanks!
