that's an extreme to just get rid of s/w files as
you could make special cd copies of all of your
non-critical files and purge and then keep those
you want
however - to help you do what you want - chk these - ie

If you think what I want to do is too extreme please recommend an
alternative. I have two computers on a network both running XP Pro and am
able to run a program I downloaded from the Net on one but not the other. At
one time I could run the downloaded program from both computers. It's the
computer that I can no longer run the downloaded program from that I wanted
to uninstall and reinstall the XP Pro OS from. If there is an easier way,
I'm all ears.
