View Full Version : Changing number of rings/time to dial-out for outgoing fax?

Windows XP fax. I can't find how to change the number of rings, or amount
of time it will try to send a fax. I adjusted the time in Default
Preferences from 60 to 240 seconds, but it still stops at about 10 rings
which is just about 65-70 seconds.

I'm trying to send a fax to a machine that doesn't pick up until the 15th
ring.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

That is the max default settings - 10 rings. Ask you party on the other
end to set theirs to 9 rings to solve the problem.

Ok thanks. At least I can know I really wasn't missing something digging
like I was.

Having them change theirs isn't an option, so I'm hosed if I use the XP Fax.

Thanks,
Jim
