View Full Version : computer shutting down all the time

The computer is shutting down completely, all the time,
for no reason. I have looked at the power settings, and
they seem fine. Seems to happen after the machine has
been idle for twenty minutes or so. Has only been
happening recently- everything was fine for a year, this
just started a few weeks ago. Thanks

You might want to check for a hardware related problem like overheating or
power supply issues.

Have you opened the case and cleaned the inside and make sure all fans are
running on the video and cpu and case. Might try leaving the case off and
see if it still does the same. Could be a heat problem.
