My whole system crashed while I was doing normal tasks.
I got a screen back up, but cannot get onto my ISP. I
tried the System Restore stuff, but cannot get it to go
back before midnight Sunday. I thought I would be able
to get everything back to the way it was. Wrong!

System Restore does nothing to YOUR settings..

System Restore monitors only a core set of specified system and application
file types (e.g. .exe, .dll etc), archiving the states of these files before
system changes are made. System Restore does not monitor any user/personal
data files.

You should contact your ISP for help on connecting back to them. They
should be able to walk you through it *if* you know your username and
password (if needed.)
