View Full Version : Hangs upon bootup

When starting up my computer my computer hangs, with no
hard drive activity for about 15 seconds, on the Windows
Logo (XP) screen, then continues to startup. I never had
this problem before I had to re-install XP after a
restore, yet I've checked parameters, gone into the setup
and disabled the bootup from LAN as the primary bootup,
so I'm at a loss. This comes before I even get to my
desktop. I have optimized the loading of programs, but
that hasn't helped. Any suggestions? (I am not running
Newbui)... Thanks!

Thanks... the message I got, though, is partly gibberish
to me..."QoS [Adapter %2]:
The netcard driver failed the query for
OID_GEN_MAXIMUM_FRAME_SIZE. "

Any further suggestions? THanks..

Remove QoS (Network)
Do you have 2 network cards? if not remove 2nd adapter (Hardware Device =
Manager)

Look in Services (In Computer Management) - make sure QoS is set to =
start manually (or not at all)
