View Full Version : No DVD with projector

When trying to play DVDs using a data projector, the DVD player window is
blank, although the DVD is playing as it should be on the laptop screen. The
mirroring seems fine in all other respects. This happens for all relevant
applications; WinDVD, RealPlayer, Media Player.

I'm using Windows XP, with all updates installed, on a good spec of laptop.

Any solutions will be gratefully received.

Thanks.

You need to set the tv as primary monitor, so it won't play on the laptop
screen, or turn off hardware acceleration, which normally allows play out on
two monitors.

Thanks very much for the response.

As a relative newcomer to the PC (moveed from an alternative platform), can
I ask how I do this? Is it through Display Properties? There are three
options there; Monitor, LCD and TV. Do I treat the projector as TV?

Thanks again.

I take it, it is connected to the tv out so yes.
