View Full Version : Messenger 4.7 thinks it's signed in but isn't!

Although Windows Messenger is showing it's signed in, other Windows
Messenger users are telling me that I'm off-line. I'm only aware that I've
dropped off-line when I attempt to send an instant message - after a minute
or so I get a dialogue telling me that my message couldn't be delivered and
the sign-in screen appears. I seem to be dropping off the messenger network
after a few minutes.
Can anyone help?

Richard

Greetings Richard,
This could be the result of a proxy in place on your network or service provider which is
timing out your connection. You may want to try MSN Messenger instead which uses a newer
version of the protocol which usually defeats this timing out conditions fairly well:
