I have the above temporary files that seem to be indestructible. If I try to
delete them I am told that an application is using them, even if none are
running. They change the last prefixes too - Perflib was -78, then -80 and
is now c4, and JET was 6EBF, then 6112, 5F8D etc..

I can't delete them even after a reboot & defrag. (whether that would do any
good or not!) so if anyone can help me get shot of them, please do!

Cheers,

Chris

They are created by something you have running in the background.. I have
them also. Stop worrying as it's insignificant!

Because, in the past, when I shut down a certain program I had installed
(sorry, can't remember which), I was able to delete them. So I don't worry,
as it was a retail program that I have obviously dumped (do that often).

Also, just did a search on Google and read a bit. Now I have no worries at
all!
