I need to know can I use the disc that came with my pc to
reinstall WINDOWS XP over a corrupted Windows XP to
restore operating system? RESTORE DOESN'T WORK

You can do a Repair Install of your Windows XP provided you have a
complete Windows XP CD rather than a "System Recovery" disk that some
manufacturers provide.

Yes, you can reinstall Windows XP over an existing XP installation.
