Where can I find the download for the updated version of
this driver? It is referenced in the Knowledge Base
Article 814789 as follows:

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=814789

I keep getting the Stop Error 0x7F with the file
win32k.sys referenced. In the article it says that the
updated version of the file (04-Mar-2003 19:24
5.0.2195.6679 1,620,176 Win32k.sys) can be found by
contacting Microsoft support.

However, because my version of XP Home is OEM installed, I
hit a wall when trying to access the Microsoft online
support. When I contact my PC manufacturer (Dell) they
don't seem to know anything about the download.

My PC is crashing (BSOD) almost every day with the same
driver referenced each time. I can't wait for the latest
service pack update and would really like to be able to
downlad the file as it says I can in the article.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Did read the "entire" article?

"In special cases, charges that are ordinarily incurred for=20
support calls may be canceled if a Microsoft Support=20
Professional determines that a specific update will resolve=20
your problem." =20

If the fix applies in your situation, then there will be no charge.
The only way to obtain the fix is to contact Microsoft support!

In the U.S call: 1-425-635-3311
